🗓 Itinerary
Depart Marrakech and cross the stunning High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m). Stop at Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous filming location. Continue through Ouarzazate, visit the 17th-century Kasbah of Skoura, and pass through the Valley of Roses and the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Overnight in a guesthouse at Dades Gorges.
After breakfast, drive through Tinghir and marvel at the towering Todra Gorges. Continue through the towns of Tinjdad and Erfoud, gateway to the Tafilalet Oasis. Arrive in Merzouga, where a camel caravan awaits. Trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset and spend the night in a luxury camp, complete with Berber drumming under the stars.
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel to your hotel for breakfast and a shower. Embark on a 4×4 tour of the desert, visiting Berber nomads, local villages like Hassi Labied and Khamlia (famous for its Gnawa music), and enjoy tea with a nomadic family. In the afternoon, relax or swim at a local hotel with panoramic desert views.
After breakfast, begin the drive north through the Ziz Valley and enjoy panoramic views of the oasis of Aoufous. Cross the Tizi n’Talghemt Pass to reach Midelt for lunch. Continue through the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may spot Barbary macaques. Stop in Ifrane—often called the "Switzerland of Morocco"—before arriving in Fes. End of the tour.
